Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Acidovorax avenae cattleyae was originally described and validly published by Willems et al. 1992. In 1992, Willems et al. reduced (Pavarino 1911) Savulescu 1947 (Approved Lists 1980) to the rank of subspecies. Schaad et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Pavarino 1911) Schaad et al. 2009 in 2008.
