Nomenclatural History
The species Lampropedia hyalina was originally described by Schroeter 1886. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Xie and Yokota published an emended description of this species in 2003. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Lee et al. in 2004 and Li et al. in 2015.
