Nomenclatural History	The species Methanogenium bourgense was originally described and validly published by Ollivier et al. 1986. In 1990, Maestrojuán et al. established Methanogenium bourgense as the basonym of Methanoculleus bourgensis corrig. (Ollivier et al. 1986) Maestrojuán et al. 1990 emend. Asakawa and Nagaoka 2003 .
