Nomenclatural History
The species Rhodocyclus tenuis was originally described and validly published by Imhoff et al. 1984. Kyndt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2022. Imhoff et al. formed this name in 1984 by placing the species Pfennig 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Pfennig 1978 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Imhoff et al. 1984.
