Nomenclatural History
The species Azospira oryzae was originally described and validly published by Reinhold-Hurek and Hurek 2000. Tan and Reinhold-Hurek published an emended description of this species in 2003. Tan and Reinhold-Hurek established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Achenbach et al. 2001 in 2003.
