Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Propionivibrio was originally proposed by Tanaka et al. 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 37 in 1991. Brune et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2002. Brune et al. transferred the members of
Propionibacter Meijer et al. 1999
into this genus in 2002.
