Nomenclatural History
The species Lamprocystis purpurea was originally described and validly published by Imhoff 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Imhoff formed this name in 2001 by placing the species (Eichler and Pfennig 1989) Tindall 1999 into the genus Schroeter 1886 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Imhoff 2001.
