Nomenclatural History
|
The species Xanthomonas phaseoli was originally described by Smith 1897. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1989 the name was revived and validly published by Gabriel et al.. Constantin et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016.
