Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Leucothrix was originally proposed by Oersted 1844. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Brock published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Zhang et al. in 2015.
