Nomenclatural History
The genus Rickettsiella was originally proposed by Philip 1956. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Weiss published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Saini and Gupta in 2021.
