Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudospirillum japonicum was originally described and validly published by Satomi et al. 2002. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Satomi et al. formed this name in 2002 by placing the species (Watanabe 1959) Hylemon et al. 1973 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Satomi et al. 2002.
