Nomenclatural History
The order Pseudomonadales was originally proposed by Orla-Jensen 1921. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Liao et al. published an emended description of this order in 2020. Breed et al. transferred the members of Prévot 1940 (Approved Lists 1980) into this order in 1957.
