The species Pseudomonas antimicrobica was originally described by Attafuah and Bradbury 1989. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 34 in 1990. Coenye et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Burkholderia gladioli (Severini 1913) Yabuuchi et al. 1993
in 2000.
