Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas cannabina was originally described by Šutič and Dowson 1959. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1999 the name was revived and validly published by Gardan et al.. Bull et al. published an emended description of this species in 2010.
