Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas cattleyae was originally described by Savulescu 1947. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Hu et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Manns 1909 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1991. In 1992, Willems et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Pavarino 1911) Willems et al. 1992 .
