Nomenclatural History
|
The species Pseudomonas chlororaphis was originally described by Bergey et al. 1930. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Peix et al. published an emended description of this species in 2007. Johnson and Palleroni established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Pseudomonas aureofaciens Kluyver 1956 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 1989. In 2007, Peix et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form
Pseudomonas chlororaphis chlororaphis (Guignard and Sauvageau 1894) Peix et al. 2007
