The species Pseudomonas oryzihabitans was originally described and validly published by Kodama et al. 1985. In 1987, Holmes et al. established as the basonym of (Kodama et al. 1985) Holmes et al. 1987 . Lalucat et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Hauser et al. 2004 in 2020.
