Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas perfectomarina was originally described by ZoBell and Upham 1944. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1983 the name was revived and validly published by Baumann et al.. Döhler et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Lehmann and Neumann 1896) Sijderius 1946 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1987. In 2022, Gomila et al. established as the basonym of (Baumann et al. 1983) Gomila et al. 2022 emend. Gomila et al. 2022 .
