Nomenclatural History	The subspecies Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes citrulli was originally described by Schaad et al. 1978. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1991, Hu et al. established Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes citrulli as the basonym of Pseudomonas avenae citrulli (Schaad et al. 1978) Hu et al. 1991 .
