Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas stutzeri was originally described by Sijderius 1946. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Döhler et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (ex ZoBell and Upham 1944) Baumann et al. 1983 in 1987. Cladera et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Wolterink et al. 2002 in 2006. In 2022, Lalucat et al. established as the basonym of (Lehmann and Neumann 1896) Lalucat et al. 2022 .
