Nomenclatural History
The species Acinetobacter lwoffii was originally described by Brisou and Prévot 1954. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Bouvet and Grimont published an emended description of this species in 1986. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nemec et al. in 2019.
