Nomenclatural History
|
The species Alteromonas luteoviolacea was originally described by Gauthier 1976. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1982 the name was revived and validly published by Gauthier. In 1995, Gauthier et al. established Alteromonas luteoviolacea as the basonym of
Pseudoalteromonas luteoviolacea (Gauthier 1982) Gauthier et al. 1995
