Nomenclatural History
The genus Alishewanella was originally proposed and validly published by Fonnesbech Vogel et al. 2000. Roh et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2009. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Kim et al. in 2009 and Sisinthy et al. in 2017.
