Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudoalteromonas citrea was originally described and validly published by Gauthier et al. 1995. Ivanova et al. published an emended description of this species in 1998. Gauthier et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Gauthier 1977 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Gauthier et al. 1995 emend. Beurmann et al. 2017. Ivanova et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Romanenko et al. 1995 in 1998.
