Nomenclatural History
The species Vibrio aestuarianus was originally described and validly published by Tison and Seidler 1983. Garnier et al. published an emended description of this species in 2008. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Garcia et al. in 2021. In 2008, Garnier et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Tison and Seidler 1983) Garcia et al. 2021 .
