Nomenclatural History
|
The species Vibrio diabolicus was originally described and validly published by Raguénès et al. 1997.
Tindall 2019 asserts that this name contravenes Rule 30 of the ICNP because no nomenclatural type has been deposited in conformity with Rule 30. Currently, the only available deposit is considered to be a patent deposit. This name is considered to therefore be illegitimate until a publicly available deposit is confirmed.
