Nomenclatural History

The genus Allomonas was originally proposed and validly published by Kalina et al. 1984. Farmer established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Vibrio Pacini 1854 emend. Shewan and Veron 1974 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 1989.
