Nomenclatural History	The species Photobacterium histaminum was originally described and validly published by Okuzumi et al. 1994. Kimura et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Photobacterium damselae damselae corrig. (Love et al. 1982) Smith et al. 1991 emend. Kimura et al. 2000 in 2000.
