Nomenclatural History
|
The species Photobacterium logei was originally described by Bang et al. 1978. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1980 the name was revived and validly published by Harwood et al.. In 1980, Baumann et al. established Photobacterium logei as the basonym of
Vibrio logei (Harwood et al. 1980) Baumann et al. 1981
.
