Nomenclatural History

The species Aeromonas culicicola was originally described and validly published by Pidiyar et al. 2002. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Huys et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Aeromonas veronii Hickman-Brenner et al. 1988
in 2005.
