Nomenclatural History
The species Citrobacter amalonaticus was originally described by Farmer 1981. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 8 in 1982. Farmer formed this name in 1981 by placing the species Young et al. 1971 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Werkman and Gillen 1932 emend. Sakazaki 1974 (Approved Lists 1980).
