Nomenclatural History	The species Halomicrobium mukohataei was originally described and validly published by Oren et al. 2002. Oren et al. formed this name in 2002 by placing the species Haloarcula mukohataei Ihara et al. 1997 into the genus Halomicrobium Oren et al. 2002. Xin et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Halomicrobium katesii Kharroub et al. 2008 in 2022.
