Nomenclatural History
The genus Rahnella was originally proposed by Izard et al. 1979. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 7 in 1981. Brady et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Jeon et al. in 2021.
