The species Raoultella planticola was originally described and validly published by Drancourt et al. 2001. Drancourt et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species Bagley et al. 1982 into the genus Trevisan 1885 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Ma et al. 2021.
