Nomenclatural History
|
The species Desulfurococcus mucosus was originally described by Zillig et al. 1982. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 10 in 1983. Perevalova et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Perevalova et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Desulfurococcus mobilis Zillig et al. 1983
in 2016.
