Nomenclatural History	The species Haloterrigena thermotolerans was originally described and validly published by Montalvo-Rodríguez et al. 2000. In 2021, de la Haba et al. established Haloterrigena thermotolerans as the basonym of Natrinema thermotolerans (Montalvo-Rodríguez et al. 2000) de la Haba et al. 2022 . de la Haba et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Haloterrigena jeotgali Roh et al. 2009 in 2021.
