Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Serratia proteamaculans quinovora was originally described by Grimont et al. 1982. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 10 in 1983. Ashelford et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name corrig. (Grimont et al. 1983) Ashelford et al. 2002 in 2002.
