Nomenclatural History	The species Xenorhabdus beddingii was originally described by Akhurst and Boemare 1988. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 47 in 1993. Akhurst and Boemare elevated the subspecies Xenorhabdus nematophila beddingii corrig. Akhurst 1986 to the rank of species to form this name in 1988.
