Nomenclatural History	The species Xenorhabdus poinarii was originally described by Akhurst and Boemare 1988. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 47 in 1993. List Editor elevated the subspecies Xenorhabdus nematophila poinarii corrig. Akhurst 1983 to the rank of species to form this name in 1993.
