Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Salinisphaera was originally proposed by Antunes et al. 2003. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 93 in 2003. Shimane et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2013. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Crespo-Medina et al. in 2009.
