Nomenclatural History
The class Deltaproteobacteria was originally proposed by Kuever et al. 2005. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 107 in 2006. Hahn et al. published an emended description of this class in 2017. This name replaces the name Cavalier-Smith 2002 .
