Nomenclatural History
The species Natronobacterium pharaonis was originally described by Tindall et al. 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 15 in 1984. Tindall et al. formed this name in 1984 by placing the species Soliman and Trüper 1983 into the genus Tindall et al. 1984 emend. Tindall 2001. In 1997, Kamekura et al. established as the basonym of (Soliman and Trüper 1983) Kamekura et al. 1997 .
