Nomenclatural History
The species Desulfomicrobium baculatum was originally described by Rozanova et al. 1988. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 49 in 1994. Euzéby corrected this name from (sic) to . Rozanova et al. formed this name in 1988 by placing the species Rozanova and Nazina 1984 into the genus Rozanova et al. 1994 emend. Dias et al. 2008.
