Nomenclatural History
The species Desulfomicrobium macestii was originally described and validly published by Hippe et al. 2003. Hippe et al. formed this name in 2003 by placing the species Gogotova and Vainstein 1989 into the genus Rozanova et al. 1994 emend. Dias et al. 2008.
