Nomenclatural History	The species Bacteriovorax stolpii was originally described and validly published by Baer et al. 2000. Baer et al. formed this name in 2000 by placing the species Bdellovibrio stolpii Seidler et al. 1972 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Bacteriovorax Baer et al. 2000. This name replaces the name Bacteriolyticum stolpii Piñeiro et al. 2008 .
