Nomenclatural History
The species Bacteriovorax starrii was originally described and validly published by Baer et al. 2000. Baer et al. formed this name in 2000 by placing the species Seidler et al. 1972 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Baer et al. 2000. In 2004, Davidov and Jurkevitch established as the basonym of (Seidler et al. 1972) Davidov and Jurkevitch 2004 .
