Nomenclatural History
|
The family Myxococcaceae was originally proposed by Jahn 1924. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lang et al. published an emended description of this family in 2015. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Garcia and Müller in 2018.
