Nomenclatural History
|
The species Myxococcus flavescens was originally described by Yamanaka et al. 1987. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 33 in 1990. Lang et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Myxococcus virescens Thaxter 1892 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Lang et al. 2008
in 2008.
