Nomenclatural History	The species Campylobacter gracilis was originally described and validly published by Vandamme et al. 1995. Vandamme et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Bacteroides gracilis Tanner et al. 1981 into the genus Campylobacter Sebald and Véron 1963 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Vandamme et al. 2010.
