Nomenclatural History	The species Campylobacter rectus was originally described and validly published by Vandamme et al. 1991. Vandamme et al. formed this name in 1991 by placing the species Wolinella recta Tanner et al. 1981 into the genus Campylobacter Sebald and Véron 1963 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Vandamme et al. 2010.
